Discover a unique amulet of Vikings
Swedish archaeologists have unearthed the "unique" Thor's Hammer amulet in the village of Ysby, city of Laholm (Sweden).

Primary restoration is underway, before scientists begin analyzing the object's metal composition. Similar artifacts are usually silver-plated or gold-plated, but only after the restoration is complete can scientists determine whether this particular hammer is plated.
Archaeologists from Stockholm University and Umeå University say the discovery is "unique" as it is the first hammer-shaped amulet discovered in Halland County.
In 2014, a large “drinking hall” measuring more than 50m long and 14m wide was also excavated in Halland County. However, it is not as sophisticated as the recently discovered Thor hammer. Therefore, the new discovery can provide valuable information about the social and human history of the Vikings in Halland.
According to expert Per Wranning
